About Us

We are a joint research group between the Department of Computer Science and the Mathematical and Computing Institute, at PUC Chile, interested in theory and data, also called Database Theory. We study all data-related topics, from data management systems to applied problems on data, with an emphasis on theoretical computer science. This mix aims to understand extraction, querying, and analysis of data from a foundational perspective combining computer science and math.

Our group is not restricted to theoretical problems. We love to implement systems and model practical problems related to data. We see theoretical computer science and math as fundamental tools to gain a deep understanding of today’s data problems.
